Terms of use
These terms apply to ulagaariyan.ai and the Ulagaariyan assistant (the “service”), operated by the Ulagaariyan project (“we”, “us”), based in Washington State, USA. By using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. The service is a pilot
Ulagaariyan is in a private pilot. Access is by invitation, and we may grant, limit or withdraw access at our discretion. Features may change, be unavailable at times, or be withdrawn, and the service is provided free of charge during the pilot.
2. Your account
You sign in with your Google account. Keep it secure, and do not share access to the service with others. You must be at least 13 years old to use the service.
3. About the answers
- Answers are generated by AI from the sources in our library. They can be incomplete or wrong, even when sources are cited. Always read the cited sources.
- The assistant is a study aid. It is not a religious authority and does not replace the guidance of an acharya or a qualified scholar on matters of practice, observance or personal decisions.
- Nothing in the service is medical, legal, financial or other professional advice.
4. Acceptable use
Please use the service respectfully and for its purpose. You agree not to:
- use it to create content that disparages any tradition, community or person, or to harass anyone;
- try to make it produce misleading material presented as scripture or as the words of an acharya or scholar;
- scrape, bulk-download or systematically copy the library, the answers or the service;
- try to get around access controls, rate limits or safety measures, or interfere with the service;
- use the service to build a competing product, or to train other AI models.
5. Content and copyright
The texts, commentaries and recordings in our library remain the property of their authors, publishers and rights holders. Quotations shown in answers are short extracts for study, with their source. The Ulagaariyan name, emblem and site design are ours. You may share answers you receive for personal, non-commercial purposes, with their sources.
If you believe material in the service infringes your rights, write to contact@ulagaariyan.ai with details and we will review it promptly.
6. What you give us
You keep ownership of what you write to us. You allow us to store and use your questions, ratings, reviews and corrections to run and improve the service, as described in our privacy policy. Reviewers allow us to use their verdicts and corrections in the library and the assistant.
7. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the service or its answers. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to US$100.
9. Ending access
You may stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken or to protect the service or its users.
10. Changes
We may update these terms, especially as the service moves beyond the pilot. We will post changes here and update the date above; continuing to use the service means you accept them.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
